Youth Fitness

With the dramatic increase in childhood obesity and Type II Diabetes, a call for youth fitness and physical activity has been recently gaining power across the country.  Unfortunately, many state and federal politicians have cut funding and decreased the requirements for physical education programs in our school systems.   To add to the problem, increases in availability of computer games, video games, and other forms of inactive fun have moved children off of the playground and onto the couch or cushy desk chair.  While we here at TFHF support technological advances and by no means deter the future of the age of the micro-chip, we also see a need for a trip back in time.  

Do you remember what it was like to have gym class every day?  To be able to play any sport you can think of after school, on school grounds?  Do you remember being able to run around outside and not even thinki about playing video games?  At TFHF, we want to give our youth the same exhilarating feeling of being a child at play again.  We want to afford them the same resources of physical education that previous generations received in order to help prevent diabetes, obesity, and develop strength of mind and body to persevere into adolescence and beyond.   More importantly, we strive to enable our youth to believe in themselves to face adversity in any arena, whether sporting or not.

Our courses are geared towards all levels of fitness and range from age 5 to age 17.  We have the ability to work with small groups of 3 or groups as large as 20.  For those students that require or want extra attention, we also offer one-on-one training for ages 12 and above
